Sports Massage in Woodford

Targeted sports massage therapy to support recovery, reduce muscle tension and help you return to activity with confidence. Appointments available Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

Who Sports Massage Is For

Sports massage is suitable for active individuals, recreational exercisers and those managing muscular tension or minor injuries. It is also appropriate for those returning to activity after a break. You do not need to be an athlete to benefit.

It can help with:

  • Muscle tightness and restricted movement
  • Recovery after training or events
  • Ongoing niggles from running or gym work
  • Rehabilitation following injury
  • General muscular discomfort linked to activity
Each session begins with an assessment. This ensures that treatment is guided by your specific needs rather than a routine approach.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Your first session includes a clear assessment of your history, current symptoms and activity levels. This helps identify contributing factors and guides treatment.

Treatment may include the following, depending on your assessment findings:

  • Deep and remedial massage techniques
  • Soft tissue release
  • Strapping or taping where appropriate
  • Rehabilitation advice
  • Guidance on exercises and self management
Where clinically appropriate, additional modalities such as ultrasound, cupping or shockwave therapy may be used.
You will leave with a clearer understanding of what is happening and what the next steps are.
